I would recommend avoid doing regular quests like Optionals, as they have the lowest chance of crowns spawning: 2% for a mini and 1% for a large. Investigations with 4/5 gold or purple boxes have slightly better odds at spawning large crowns, with a 6% chance for a large crown and the same 6% for a mini crown. *Note: In the base game: World, optional quests do not spawn crowns.īased on a fellow hunter's datamined research, HR investigations with at least 1 gold and 1 silver, 3 gold and 1 bronze, and tempered investigations with 3 purple boxes have a 6% chance for a mini crown and a 3% for a large crown.
